AMBER COAST BEACH CUP 2016

Dear Volleyball Friends,

“Amber Coast Beach Cup” is on its 7th year in the history of the championship. The championship includes both Men’s and Women’s competitions!!

Cup Info

The Cup will take place in four events.

The top three teams at each event, will be awarded individual medals, with the fourth team being awarded a monetary prize.

The overall top three teams (across all four events), having collected the most points during the entire competition, will be awarded Cups.

The players to have collected the most individual points during the entire championship will be awarded MVP trophies.

Tournament

The tournament is running in a double-elimination system.

The sets for games up to the quarter final stage will be played up to 15 points (switch every 7 points). 3rd set will be played up to 11 points (11th point is last one, switch every 5 points) . Quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals will be played up to 21 points (3rd set up to 15 points).
First round of matches is starting at 11 am. Following matches should start no later than 10 minutes after the end of the match before. Teams not appearing on the playing court on time will be penalised by forfeit (opponents are awarded a full win)

Referees

The referees of the first round are nominated by the event manager and will be notified on the evening prior to the event. All losing teams are to remain on their court and referee the next match.

All scoresheets must be completed and given back to the event manager.

All dates are weather permitting, and as such, are subject to change. Check our Facebook event page on the morning of the event.

Registration

If you are interested in playing at our Cup/event, please confirm by sending your Player Names and Contact Numbers to[email protected] or in Facebook (phone number can be sent as private message).

Entry fee is 25 euro per team and should be pay during registration time.

Deadline for registrations is the evening before each event, by 8pm. Players who register their team after this time will be excluded or be charged an increased registration fee of 35 euro per team, depending on availability).

Each registered entrant will be notified about any event changes the day before the event (when possible) or two hours before registration time.

Venue: Portmarnock Beach

Registration at 10:30.
Games start at 11:00.
