Dear Volleyball Friends,
Last Sunday in Portmarnock 15 men’s and 11 women’s teams came to find the Luck in the 2nd Event of Amber Coast Beach Cup 2017.
The Event run all day on the 6 volleyball courts.
After 30 games in men competition gold medal won union of Portadown and Pouso Alegre, Peter Stewart and Ivo Teixeira. In the final they won against champions of previous tour, really strong team from Northern Ireland, Alan McKnight and Jonathan Workman. The first set Peter and Ivo won pretty easy 21:13 but in the second set team from North remind that life is not easy. Anyway 22:20 and final score 2:0 to Peter and Ivo.
In the game for 3rd Place was hot as well. After two sets and tiebreak hard luck for Radu and Jonathan and Bronze medals for Wil and Janusz. Final Score: 2:1 (21:19; 13:21; 15:13).
In the women competition 2nd time in a row celebrated Lithuanian team, sisters Giedre and Zydre Guobytes. Nobody can’t bit them and 100 points in the table together with gold medals as result.
Actually in the final was 3 players from Lithuania. Indre Simkute with her teammate from Slovakia Dominika Supocka Kozakova lost in the Final 2:0 (26:24; 21:12).
Bronze medals goes to Fatima Balza and Roisin Roantree, mix of Merida and Blackhorse avenue.

Well done to Piotrek Piecek who’s won Adudas T-Shirt in Lucky Serve Game.
Would like to remind about the prizes in Amber Coast Beach Cup 2017. Winners of each event will get Beach Volleyball Jerseys and gold medals.
Runners Up of men competitions will get sleeveless thermal t-shirts and silver medals. Runners Up of women competition together with medals will get leggings.
3rd Place winners will get Sport Bottles for water.
